Questions about cosmetology CE
Are your courses approved by my state?
We're approved or sponsored in Texas, Ohio, Georgia, Illinois and Iowa (numbers above). Nebraska's Board no longer approves CE programs, and Kentucky and Wisconsin don't require CE. Each state page shows the approval details for that state.
Is there an exam?
It depends on the state. Texas, Georgia, Nebraska, North Carolina and Wisconsin courses have no exam. Ohio, Iowa, Illinois and Kentucky courses end with a short multiple-choice exam.
Will one course cover all my hours?
In Texas, Georgia and Iowa, yes. In Ohio, our 3 hours plus the Board's free 1-hour Laws & Rules course complete the 4. In Illinois and Nebraska, our course covers part of the requirement; the table above shows how much.
How soon do I get my certificate?
As soon as you finish the course (and the exam, if your state has one). You can download it right away.
Do I need CE in Kentucky or Wisconsin?
No. Neither state currently requires continuing education to renew. Our Kentucky and Wisconsin courses are optional refreshers on sanitation and safety.
